Bleeding Miscarriage
If heavy bleeding, miscarriage related, occurs, chances for infections leading to vulvar vestibulitis and vaginosis is a risk.
A doctor is likely to determine whether the loss was complete or incomplete. If there remains tissue, an infection may develope. Therefore, D&C procedure may be performed. Vaginal discharge will appear for a few weeks after miscarriages. When symptoms disappear and your body has had time to heal, sexual contacts may be renewed.

Fetal losses are usually accompanied by a painful sensation in the low back and abdomen, plus vaginal discharge that resembles a cycle. During a pregnancy loss, the discharge is profuse, with clots being expelled. Calling a doctor should be immediate.
