Infertility Over Age 40
Women infertility over age 40 is common, but younger women with a history of cervical cancer and other severe disorders often cannot have children; a regular pap smear test helps to prevent serious disorders.
Women in their 30s face a dramatic decrease in ability to conceive a baby, yet are good candidates for having Assisted Reproductive Technology. As the woman ages, she has fewer chances to conceive a baby and carry the baby to the term.

Considering the costs of ART procedures and risks to the woman’s health, patients are advised to carefully approach the issue and consult doctors. Women in their 40s are discouraged to conceive a baby through ART using their own eggs, as the success rates in such cases are reported to be very low.
