Miscarriage at 8 weeks is usually inexplicable, but the presence of a urinary infection or vaginosis infection is a risk factor.
However, 90 percent of women who have had one miscarriage are able to have a normal pregnancy and healthy baby. Even a woman who has had three miscarriages in a row still has more than a 50 percent chance of having a successful pregnancy next time.

Miscarriages can be divided according to when in pregnancy they occur. Miscarriages tend to occur in about 15-20 percent of all recognized pregnancies.
